Getting Here
From a number of European cities, Ljubljana is just a flight away. Additionally, several surrounding airports offer bus and shuttle connections to Slovenia’s capital. Getting here by car is another option – facilitated by the city’s Central European location. It is important to note, however, that the “Vignette” tolling sticker must be purchased when entering Slovenia.
Air travel
The country’s main airport, Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, is a 30-minute drive away from the capital. It offers flights to most of Europe’s major airports.

Train
There are several international rail connections to Ljubljana. Trains are also convenient means of transport within the country as distances are mainly short and travel costs low. The Ljubljana Railway Station is located in the city centre.
Bus
Ljubljana can be reached from most major European cities by bus. Bus travel is one of the most convenient forms of public transport for short trips to Ljubljana’s surrounding areas and other locations in Slovenia. The Ljubljana Bus Station is located in the city centre, next to the Railway Station.
